“I have walked with Nordic Strides for almost 2 years and I have enjoyed every minute. I have become fitter and more energetic without it being a chore. In fact, it has been fun especially as everyone is so friendly. Thank you Rebecca!”

What my clients have to say about Nordic Strides

As an injured runner I was desperate to find something to replace that buzz…I came across Becky’s class quite by accident and I have never looked back. I am now fitter than ever but best of all pain free!
Anne Turner, York

“Nordic Walking has contributed to me losing weight and maintaining the loss. It is also an enjoyable way to exercise all parts of the body, and is led by Rebecca, who makes it a pleasurable activity”.

There are many benefits to Nordic Walking for people with Parkinson disease.  As there is stiffness and rigidity in the muscles the use of the poles helps with movement and upright posture. Rebecca’s class helped my husband a great deal and the one-to-one tuition was extremely beneficial.
Debbie and Neil, York
"I have been Nordic Walking now for three and a half years and feel  that I have had lots of benefits from it, not only has it helped me to get a lot fitter than I was, I have also lost a decent amount of weight over a period of time. I have also gained new friends and enjoyed very much the social side of the classes. Rebecca is a superb instructor and explains things very clearly. I look forward to the walking every week and feel a little cheated when I can’t go along, I think you could say I am well and truly hooked!"
Lynne Dobson, Stockton-on-the-Forest
Thank you Becky for bringing me an enjoyable and sociable exercise that doesn't cripple me for days afterwards.
Great for winding down after work, new friends (and finding old ones), fresh air and no more bingo wings (ok, maybe one day).
Being able to get to class twice a week now with the extra Huntington class has really given my fitness a boost as well.
You have the gift of getting to know everyone and making sure everyone gets what they want out of every class to improve their own personal fitness levels.
As you know, I loved running but now I can't do that any more because of my cronky knees Nordic Walking really fills that gap.  To be able to do the Nordic Walk 10K at Grassington the other week was a fantastic experience for me as well.
Your classes have really changed my stressful life and given me
something to lift me out of my own personal hamster wheel and your energy and enthusiasm has got a lot to do with that.  Everyone should try it.  Thank you so much”

“Having being a member of Nordic Strides for the last three years, I find Rebecca to be an excellent motivational instructor, who has a pleasant easy going and friendly personality. Although a group of varying ages and abilities we all enjoy the sessions enormously and I would recommend to anyone wanting to get fitter to come along and have a go!”
